Mattress Mack claims Mattress Firm objected to him throwing out the first pitch for the Astros in MLB playoffs

Well, Mattress Mack is back at his usual antics with the MLB playoffs underway.

Super bettor Jim McIngvale, known by his nickname “Mattress Mack,” claims that he was blocked from throwing out Saturday’s first pitch for the Houston Astros’ ALDS Game 1 against the Minnesota Twins at Minute Maid Park.

The alleged reason? McIngvale’s business rival Mattress Firm is a sponsor of the MLB, and they didn’t want “Mattress Mack” throwing out the first pitch and getting publicity out of the moment.

Mattress Mack is the king of getting people to pay attention to him, as he recently placed another outrageous wager on the Astros to win the World Series this fall. This is probably another attempt at that.

Look, we’re not sure how much Mattress Mack is being truthful here as opposed to embellishing the story to get people to pay more attention to his business and his astronomical Astros bet.

However, if Mattress Firm is really blocking McIngvale from throwing out the first pitch, then begun, the mattress wars have.
