Ken Jennings said the key to wagering on Jeopardy! is to think like a sports bettor

When game show legends Ken Jennings and James Holzhauer offer advice on how to succeed at Jeopardy!, you listen — that is, of course, if you ever intend on being a contestant on the popular game show. And when the same strategy comes from both Jennings and Holzhauer, well now you have yourself a sure-fire way to win.

Jennings was asked about his strategy to wagering on Daily Doubles and Final Jeopardy, as a guest on the latest episode of Max’s Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace?, and his answer was something he credited Holzhauer for bringing to the game: think like a sports bettor.

“This is the thing that James Holzhauer really changed about the game, you know? He brought a sports gambler sense of analytics,” Jennings said before explaining the success rate of Daily Doubles and Final Jeopardy and why it made sense to wager more money on former.

Wait until Jennings finds out how many bettors still need to apply this strategy.
