Mike Greenberg stuns Pat McAfee following Aaron Rodgers update: 'Mr. Rogers just said the 'F' word'

If there is anything Pat McAfee knows how to do, it is to sell a moment. McAfee continues to build his brand in the most McAfee way possible. Of course, being authentically himself allows him to secure some of the biggest names in sports for the Pat McAfee Show. That includes Aaron Rodgers, the quarterback of the New York Jets.

McAfee and Rodgers have been close for years now and the show tracked Rodgers’s transition to the New York Jets. So, it’s no surprise that Rodgers returned to McAfee to discuss the latest developments of his seemingly season-ending injury.

Rodgers ruptured his Achilles, delivering a brutal blow to the 39-year-old and his new team. However, Rodgers is also a man who stays true to himself and believes he will be back.

“Give me the doubts. Give me the timetable,” says Rodgers.” Give me all the things you think can, should, and will happen.”

When pressed by A.J. Hawk about whether that would be this season, Rodgers slyly responded, “Anything is possible.”

As shocking as it was to hear Rodgers insinuate that he could return this season, ESPN’s Mike Greenberg, a known Jets fan, had a reaction that even made McAfee blush.

Warning: NSFW Language

McAfee, who texted Greenberg to share the Rodgers news, facetimed him to ask him to share with the audience his response. Greenberg paused, pondering whether or not to share and then went for it.

“I said, ‘Let’s [expletive] go.'”

McAfee, stunned that Greenberg just cursed on live television, responds like any of us would.

“Mr. Rogers just said the ‘F’ word.”

If you grew up watching Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood like me, then you know Mr. Rogers was about as wholesome as they come, and hearing him use any of that sort of language would have shattered the childhood TV landscape similar to how (Aaron) Rodgers’ injury has changed football this season. Greenberg’s response is relatable.

With this latest update, somebody check on “Greeny.”  He’s ready to run through a brick wall. Again.
