Early lines have Colorado as a massive three-touchdown underdog at No. 10 Oregon

For the first time since their season-opener against formerly-ranked TCU, the Colorado Buffaloes are underdogs.

In what will undoubtedly be the biggest challenge of Deion Sanders’ debut season, his 19th-ranked Buffaloes are 21-point dogs on the road against No. 10 Oregon at BetMGM.

Like Colorado, Oregon is 3-0 on the season and led by a Heisman hopeful at quarterback. Bo Nix’s +2200 odds aren’t far behind Shedeur Sanders at +1800. However, Colorado will have to slow Nix without its other best player, cornerback and wide receiver Travis Hunter, who is expected to miss three weeks with an injury suffered in their thrilling win over Colorado State.

Despite those +750 moneyline odds, don’t expect bettors to scare from Colorado. Even before the Buffs upset TCU as 21-point dogs, they were BetMGM’s biggest liability to win the College Football Playoff national championship. And bettors haven’t stopped hammering Colorado, handing sportsbooks another big loss after the Week 2 win over Nebraska.

The books finally got a win with Colorado State’s cover on Saturday, but they’ll likely take another loss if Colorado can bounce back in Eugene.

In fact, betting action at Circa Sports already moved the line from 21 to 20 points. And TwinSpires expects Colorado to be its biggest liability this week. DraftKings expects the handle for Colorado-Oregon to exceed any other game.
