Videos showing the inside of the Las Vegas Sphere prove it's just as bonkers as the outside

We’ve been mesmerized by the Las Vegas Sphere since the gigantic orb in the desert turned on it’s state-of-the-art exterior screens on July 4 with a dazzling video display.

The 580,000 square feet of programmable LED lighting has become an instantly iconic piece of the Vegas landscape that’s inspired as many memes and hysterical images as awestruck faces.

But we’ve never seen the inside of the 18,600-seat stadium. For as incredible as the outside of the Sphere looks, we’ve only been left to dream about the interior of the $2.3 billion venue. Until now.

New videos surfacing on Twitter show what the future of entertainment in Las Vegas looks like and it feels like something out of a sci-fi film.

Rock band U2 will host the first residency at the venue when it opens this fall. Fans who get to attend will be in for an experience unlike anything else with an equally state-of-the-art audio system hidden behind the screens and seats.

Just imagine the possibilities for watching events here — not that live shows aren’t exciting. It might be more exiting to watch March Madness, high-profile boxing matches and the Super Bowl at the Sphere than actually going to those events.

Maybe they’ll give us a sportsbook day there, too. We can only hope.
