Shaq told a hilarious story on 'Inside the NBA' about his son's first sentence and no one believed him

Inside the NBA is always hilarious regardless of the moment, but it’s especially funny when the crew begins to tell hilarious personal stories.

That’s what made the story of the first complete sentence Shaq heard form his son, Shareef, so hilarious.

Ernie Johnson asked Shaq to reflect a famous highlight clip of him catching a lob from Kobe Bryant, dunking the ball and pointing into the stands.

But Kenny Smith was more curious about who, exactly, Shaq was pointing at.

It turns out, Shaq said, it was his son Shareef in the stands. And he was pointing at him because he said Shareef said to him “Daddy, win” before the game which turned out to be the first sentence Shaq heard from him, apparently.

That’s not the funny part, though. What makes this hilarious is that no one believed him.

“Shaq: He was two, at the time, and he said ‘Daddy, win.’ I didn’t even know he could talk.

Kenny: You knew he could talk. You lived in the house with him. You knew he could talk.

Shaq: Let me finish.

Ernie: I’m just trying to go down memory lane with you on that play and you said I didn’t even know he could talk.

They really laughed Shaq out of the room. He still tried to explain the moment, though.

“As you know, when I come in the house I’m real playful with the kids. So, like, right before the game he came and grabbed me and said ‘Daddy, win for me.’ And I was like ‘You can speak in sentences?’

Kenny still wasn’t buying it.

“So his first words, his first sentence was ‘Daddy, win for me?’ You’re such a liar.”

I gotta say, I’m kind of with Kenny on this one. But still, this was absolutely hilarious nonetheless. And not a soul on that set believed Shaq. Just comedy.
