'The Simpsons' once again predicted the future with some key Inauguration moments

Fans of The Simpsons have spent the past few years pointing out how the series has weirdly predicted a whole bunch of stuff: The Broncos and Seahawks playing in the Super Bowl, A Germany and Brazil World Cup final, something in Lady Gaga’s Super Bowl halftime show, and a Game of Thrones twist.

We’ve already pointed out the show even nailed the Donald Trump presidency in a 2000 episode, Bart to the Future. But it’s that episode and scene that are coming up again after the inauguration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

It’s what President Lisa Simpson was wearing that has everyone saying the show did it again. Here’s the scene:

Then there’s the fact that Tom Hanks hosted the primetime inauguration special on Wednesday night. The actor made a cameo in The Simpson Movie in 2007, in which he says, “The U.S. government has lost its credibility, so it’s borrowing some of mine.”

Does that count? Whatever, it’s just hilarious at this point.
