Way back in February, the Orlando Magic acquired former No. 1 overall pick in 2017 Markelle Fultz at the trade deadline, taking little to no risk on a player who struggled mightily with his jump shot with the Philadelphia 76ers before he was shut down with thoracic outlet syndrome.
The biggest concerns were with his jump shot and technique at the free throw line — how could he be an NBA player if the young stud out of Washington lost what made him the top pick?
Since that trade, we haven’t seen Fultz taking shots. All we heard is his new teammate Aaron Gordon calling him a “sleeper” who could be a “monster.”
But now, we apparently have footage of Fultz hitting buckets … and he looks pretty good!
Look, it’s one-on-one in a gym in August. Who knows if it’ll carry over to training camp and games. But it’s a start.
