American 15-year-old Coco Gauff’s impressive run through her first Grand Slam Tournament continues following a come-from-behind win in Friday’s third round at Wimbledon. Polona Hercog of Slovenia handed Gauff her first set loss of the tournament, 6-3, and had the teen tennis player on the ropes in the second set.
Gauff saved the match point trailing 5-2 in the second set and won 7-6 (7). Gauff won the third set 7-5 on Centre Court, advancing to the Round of 16. Up next, Gauff will play Simona Halep Monday as the youngest player to reach that round at Wimbledon since 1991.
