James Holzhauer lost!
Our Ted Berg had the details, and explained why James made the right move in Final Jeopardy:
After a stunning, record-setting, Ruthian run as Jeopardy! champion, professional sports gambler James Holzhauer finally lost on Monday night at the hands of a Chicago librarian named Emma Boettcher.
In some Final Jeopardy! drama that leaked online Monday morning, Holzhauer approached the show’s final clue in second place. Boettcher led with $26,600, followed by Holzhauer with $23,400. The third-place contestant, Jay Sexton, had $11,000 on the board.
Holzhauer finished with $2,464,216 in total winnings over 32 victories.
