It is the biggest party Toronto has ever seen… or at least since 1993. For the first time since the Blue Jays last won the World Series 26 years ago, a championship parade returned to the streets of Toronto. The Raptors are back home after being crowned NBA champions, and it seemed like all of Toronto was there.
But no one enjoyed it quite as much as Danny Green did.
Celebrations started early for the Raptors, with some of the team flying out to Vegas after Thursday night’s victory. And according to Green, that celebration doesn’t leave Vegas.
Come Monday morning, Green showed up to the Raptors celebration parade sporting a new mohawk, and appeared to be having the time of his life dancing on top of the parade buses. And there was also the WWE belt Green was carrying over his head:
Green almost threw away the championship for the Raptors after a missed pass intended for Leonard gave the Warriors a chance to take Game 6. But luckily his miscue didn’t cost the Raptors from being the first ever Canadian NBA champions, and Toronto finally got a parade. The fans haven’t stopped celebrating since Thursday, and all seems to be forgiven.
So keep on celebrating, Danny.
