Latest reports point to the Lakers walking away from their talks about an Anthony Davis trade with the Pelicans. But — at least briefly — Davis himself appeared to be holding out hope.
An Instagram comment from Bleacher Report listed out a Lakers proposal that included Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart, Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram, Ivica Zubac, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and two first-round picks for Davis.
Davis’ official account liked the comment before quickly hitting unlike. NBA Twitter noticed, though.
To be fair, it’s relatively easy to accidentally like a post on Instagram. We’ve all been there.
But what a post for Davis to accidentally like — that’s not awkward at all.
At least for now, Davis will have to wait for a trade from New Orleans.
