It seems like just about everyone who’s not a Michigan Wolverines fan is pulling for NCAA tournament Cinderella team Loyola to advance to the national championship game. As the Windy City is rallying around the team, that includes Chicago’s pro sports teams.
Ahead of the No. 11 seed Ramblers’ Final Four matchup against No. 3 seed Michigan on Saturday (6:09 p.m. ET, TBS) in San Antonio, the Bears, Blackhawks, Bulls, White Sox and Cubs all sent their well-wishes to Loyola on social media.
Bulls’ forward Denzel Valentine played for Michigan’s rivals, Michigan State, but his brother, Drew Valentine, is an assistant coach for the Ramblers.
Here are some other people rooting for the Cinderella team in the first Final Four game, including the Cubs, who warned up in Loyola t-shirts Saturday. No. 1 seeds Villanova and Kansas will play each other in the second game.
