LaVar Ball called out President Donald Trump on social media after ESPN reported that the president wasn’t the one who helped LiAngelo Ball and the other UCLA basketball players arrested for shoplifting in China get out of jail and back to the U.S.
Per the report, Trump got involved, but not as much as he has made everyone believe, and the Bruins only encouraged the college athletes to thank him at the time because “it just seemed like the right thing to do.”
Now, LaVar, who got into a feud with Trump last year after he refused to thank him for helping his son, is more than happy to rub this new news in the president’s face.
LaVar wrote on Twitter and Instagram, “Thank you for what again @realdonaldtrump ?#knowyourfacts #stayinyolane,” while sharing screengrabs of quotes from ESPN‘s story.
Also, this message LaVar tweeted in December is pinned on his profile page.
