Dale Earnhardt Jr. made his broadcasting debut in the most Minnesota way possible

Since retiring from full-time racing, NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. has made the transition to broadcasting.

He’ll be on air for NBC when the network takes over for the second half of the NASCAR season in July, but for now, he helped out with the network’s Super Bowl LII coverage and is off to Pyeongchang, South Korea for the Olympics this month.

Junior made his official broadcasting debut on NBC on Sunday afternoon, and, of course, he drove a giant snow plow on a path in a winter playground in downtown Minneapolis to meet up with Dan Patrick.

Earnhardt – who will be on TV with NASCAR’s reigning Cup Series champion and Eagles fan Martin Truex Jr. and Ryan Blaney – is expected to appear several more times throughout NBC’s pregame show in live and taped segments.

This week, he teased what sports he’ll be doing for the Super Bowl show, including a photo of him trying out the incredible winter sport called skijoring.
