Bill Simmons rips Chargers' preposterous scheme to get taxpayers to pay for new stadium

In this very good segment from Any Given Wednesday, Bill Simmons makes the case that the good people of San Diego should not approve a ballot measure that would approve public funding for a new Chargers stadium, or “convadium,” which I concur is not a thing.

The whole video is very good, but make sure to stick around for the Tony Hawk appearance.

Warning: Explicit language.

Simmons is right. This measure is bad, and believing that San Diego will have enough tourists to cover the billion-dollar stadium is at best extremely optimistic and at worst disingenuous.
