In an interview with the Redskins official website, Kirk Cousins tried to dispel the claim that he loves the band ‘Creed’.
Q: You just reminded me when you said Creed — is that band a real musical love of yours or was it put on by the media?
A: Yeah, somehow it got misconstrued a little bit. I was jokingly tweeting it because I think Creed, at a time when I was in middle school, was a popular band.
The idea that Cousins liked Creed began when he tweeted about his love for the band:
Look, we can understand not wanting to admit that you like the same band you like in middle school. However, we here at For The Win have a long tradition of embracing not having our playlists change since 2001 though, so if Cousins ever wants to change his mind again and admit that he does still listen to the band, we’re here for him — with arms wide open.
