Jeff Williams and Kate Rubins paid tribute to the Olympic athletes with an awesome video from the International Space Station that was posted during the Opening Ceremony.

“All of us will certainly be rooting for our home nations in competition, but we’ll celebrate the spirit of the games together,” Rubins said, as she explained how they often work together with other countries such as Russia, Japan, Europe and Canada.

“We’re proud of you and inspired by you,” Williams said in his message to the athletes.

Then, they said “Go Team USA,” and they did a backflip, as you do when you’re in space. Let the games begin.
