A nightmarish dinosaur fish has washed up on shore in North Carolina, another startling reminder that the ocean is full of evil and out to kill us all.

The fish shown above was spotted by Mike and Neiki Tiffany in Carolina Beach, North Carolina. The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission says its an Atlantic sturgeon, a rare-ish fish that can grow up to nine feet in length (!!) and dates back to the time of the dinosaurs. They aren’t uncommon in the area, either.

Do Atlantic sturgeon have a taste for human flesh? No. Not yet. But stay safe out there everyone. Summer is a time when a lot of you fools think it’s safe in the ocean. Ha.
