The Carolina Panthers went down by 10 to the Denver Broncos early in Super Bowl 50, but in the second half, the defense started waking up.
Peyton Manning floated one to Demaryius Thomas across the middle, and Luke Kuechly lowered the capital-B BOOM, knocking Thomas clean off of his feet and possibly all the way back to Opening Night.
Come to think of it, Thomas getting blown to smithereens in the Super Bowl is on its way to becoming a trend. Remember two years ago in Thomas’ first appearance when Manning hung him out to dry on a 3-yard flat and Kam Chancellor atomized him? Those were some times.
