Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez tries to hit an Aroldis Chapman fastball, fails miserably

In the top of the ninth of Thursday’s game between the Cincinnati Reds and the Los Angeles Dodgers, Dodgers utility player Enrique Hernandez stepped up to the plate to face down Reds closer Aroldis Chapman, who may or may not have an actual cannon for an arm. It didn’t really go Hernandez’s way.

It’s not his fault. You can’t hit what you can’t see.

What’s ridiculous is that it was a 97 mph fastball. Not even 100, which at this point, is pretty standard for Chapman.

Hernandez made it to first on a fielder’s choice, which loaded the bases with no outs. But because Chapman is basically Batman, he finessed three outs without giving up any runs to get the Reds defense off of the field.
