The Chicago Blackhawks victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Wednesday night was so good, Google has decided to just go ahead and give them the Stanley Cup already.
As NBCSN points out, a quick Google search for “Chicago Blackhawks” will lead you to the Blackhawks search summary. At the bottom, the year 2015 is listed under their Cup wins.
It might be more than a little premature, but the Blackhawks did stun the Lightning with two quick goals in the third period of Wednesday night’s Game 1. Tampa held the lead for about 45 minutes of the game but Chicago, as it so often does, found a way to win.
Poor Tampa Bay was shell shocked at the Blackhawks ability to maximize even the smallest of opportunities.
Despite what Google says, Game 2 will still be played on Saturday.
