If it works once, why not try it again?
St. Louis Blues forward Vladimir Tarasenko, who stunned the hockey world by doing the Forsberg move at full speed on a November breakaway, did the same thing Wednesday night in Game 4 against the Minnesota Wild.
Both were special in their own way.
In November, he gracefully eluded three defenders before faking out Rangers goalie Cam Talbot with the one-handed, tuck-in goal.
Wednesday, he had less speed at the start of his rush, but he bulled past defenseman Jordan Leopold, causing him to fall. Despite defenseman Matt Dumba delivering a little slash and having his stick near Tarasenko’s face, the Blues forward still had the presence of mind to attempt the one-hander.
Wild goalie Devan Dubnyk was equally fooled.
It was Tarasenko’s second goal of the night.
