Daytona International Speedway, the world’s most famous 2.5 mile track, features an enormous infield. 15 entire Florida stadiums — including the Rays’ Tropicana Field, Florida State’s Doak Campbell Stadium, and the Dolphins’ Sun Life Stadium — all fit nicely inside of DIS. Parking would be a nightmare, though.
Daytona is undergoing a massive $400 million renovation, scheduled to be complete before the 2016 Daytona 500. The track will be re-seated with wider seats installed, and the overall capacity will be brought down to 101,000.
