Oregon forgets to play defense as UCLA hits buzzer-beater to send game into OT

Oregon probably should have had its Thursday win over UCLA wrapped up when guard Joseph Young went to the free throw line with a 69-68 lead and 1.3 seconds left. But in their scramble to defend the inbounds pass after Young put them up 3, the Ducks forgot to defend the one Bruin in the best position to shoot.

UCLA forward Travis Wear found his twin brother David for a wide-open three to complete the Bruins’ comeback and force overtime.

But Oregon regrouped to win in double overtime, 87-83.
