The 2009 press conference where Alex Rodriguez admitted to “making mistakes” in a “loosey-goosey era” was hardly the first time he copped to juicing. In this Nike commercial from Rodriguez’s Seattle Mariners days, he pursued a less popular performance-enhancer.
The recipe:
1 fresh baseball
2 aged baseball cards of future Hall of Famers, ripped in half
1 cup sod
1 bag peanuts
1 bag Cracker Jacks
1 high-top sneaker
Baseball bat (to taste)
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a juicer or food processor. Drink. Hit home runs. Try not to get caught, and definitely don’t leave it unsupervised in your cousin Yuri’s hands.
